  • Delivered a talk on ‘ Policy and Programmes for Women in India’ at the U.N. Institute for Training and Advancement of Women (UNINSTRAW) in May, 1988, Santa Domingo.
  • Was invited by the City University of New York, Centre for Philanthropy to prepare and present a paper “From Charity to Militancy” a history of the evolution of the voluntary sector in India, 1987.
  • Was invited as a Resource Person to Washington D.C. by the AWID conference (American Women in Development Conference) to present a paper on Women’s Access to Credit, in India, 1989 November.
  • Participated at the ILO Asian Regional Workshop on ‘Rural Women’s Participation in organization’ at Madurai, November, 1985. Presented a Paper entitled ‘Entry points in rural Women’s Organizations’.
  • In July, 1985 at the UN Conference (Nairobi) provided presentations to the (a) International Centre for Research on Women, Washington D.C., on Credit loans for low income women workers; (b) YWCA ‘Commercialization of Appropriate Technology and its impact on women’; (c) International Women Anthropologists Conference ‘Participatory Research’. 
  • Presented a talk entitled “Issues and Problems of Women Workers in South India” at the Southern Asian Institute at Columbia University, New York, April, 1984.
  • Invited as a resource person to the Center for Population and Development Activities in Washington D.C., to Lecture on ‘Integrated Approaches to Project Planning’, May 1984.
  • Invited as a contributor to the ILO Asian Sub-regional Workshop in the Asia and Pacific Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Women in Trade Unions: An Experience from South Asia, November 1983.
  • Invited to the Approtech Asia Conference on Small Technologies and Business Forum, Manila, the Philippines, November 1983.
  • Invited to make a presentation on Credit Programs for Women at the Jansaivya Trust Fund, Colombo, Sri Lanka, in October 1994.
  • Keynote speaker at the 7th National Convention of the National Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs at Pune, December 1988.
  • Chairperson of the Session on Crimes Against Women organized by IFACS at Vigyan Bhavan for Inspectors General of Police, New Delhi, (1988).

  • Presentation on “Opportunity for Women in Science and Technology to the Officers of the Center of Scientific and Industrial Research at the National Institute of Manpower Planning, May, 1989.
  • Prepared the Theme Paper on Women and Training for the Sub-group on Training set up by the Planning Commission Steering Group on Agricultural Strategies in 1988.
  • Addressed the National Convention of Women Entrepreneurs, Bhopal Organized by IDBI, Central Bank in the session chaired by the Hon’ble Minister for Banking, June, 1989.

  • Was the keynote speaker at the National Consultation on Women and Violence sponsored by the Department of Women and Child Development, New Delhi, February 1988, New Delhi.

  • Participated at a World Bank Workshop on Health and the Urban Poor, Bangalore, 1986, from the NGO sector, March 14-16, 1986.
